Description
This is a rather large and heave piece, and I named it Propeller because it has a subtle propeller-like twist from end to end. It’s solid beech, cut from a single long slab that was sliced from a log from a tree that went down in a powerful windstorm back in 1989. I remember it well; I was sitting in the dining room, watching the storm, and, if the wind had come from a different direction, might have put this one down right on top of the house. I’m glad it didn’t.
