Description
Island table is heavy. It stands at about countertop height, it’s main surface embedded with glacial stones, and coated with bartop finish, just like you see on some restaurant bars and tables. It makes a nice working surface, but is not tolerant of fresh out of the oven hot pans or sharp knives, so beware. The top is natural wane edge beech, and the legs and lower shelves are maple. If you look closely, you’ll see that the legs all have a bit of a twist to them. That’s the way the long maple cant dried in the loft, so that’s how I used it.
