Twirlee is ALL maple. Normally, when I make a column of this sort, I make it from basswood because it’s a wood that’s MUCH easier to cut on a bandsaw than harder woods like maple, beech, or cherry. But this one’s maple. I just had to prove it could be done. So, load her up and she’ll carry it. As long as you don’t knock her over.
